Birthday Haul

Hi everyone,
It was my birthday on 29th July and I thought I would show you some of the stuff I got. Part of my birthday gift from my parents was to go to London so this is also including what I bought there. I called this a half birthday haul as not all my friends have given me my presents yet, as my party was quite short notice and is in the  summer holidays. Anyway hope you enjoy!

My first gift was from my friend, Charlotte and I couldn’t be bothered to get the DVD from downstairs so this picture is from google. But I asked her for box sets for my birthday and I just finished Skins series 2 so I can’t wait to start series 3 as I’ve loved the previous ones!
Charlotte also got me this really nice Papaya Body Butter from The Body Shop, that oddly smells like a mixture of mango and papaya but still smells amazing. Thank you Charlotte!
My friend Megan got me these gorgeous Body Shop products in the Water Lotus scent and I’ve never smelt these before but they smell amazing! It was in a little gift set with a loofah, shower gel and body spray, I’ve used the body spray and it was so nice.
Also as a little present Megan got me a Doctor Who activity book, as I like Doctor Who and who doesn’t love activity books also STICKERS.
Megan also got me a stick of marshmallows covered in chocolate, which I have yet to eat because I always save food people give me as gifts for ages. Thank you Megan!
My friend Ayesha got me some really nice chocolates in gorgeous wrapping (also I’ve had a few already and they’re really delicious.) Thank you Ayesha!
My friend Kate got me this gorgeous jar, which I’m probably going to use for a candle or something else.

Kate also got me this little paper decoration which I’m going to hang in my room at some point as I bet it’s going to look really pretty, especially as the paper looks thin and therefore light will shine through it.

Kate also got me this cute hat as she knows I like hats and its got little cat ears on it, I’ve only worn this once so far as I haven’t really been out of the house but I know I will get a lot of wear out of it. Thank you Kate!
My friend Alice got me the Starbuck Caramel Drizzle Sauce because OH MY GOD, this thing is heaven. Every time I’ve ever been into Starbucks I’ve always said if I ever bought one I’d drink the whole thing. Alice therefore made my dreams come true, I have yet to drink the whole thing but I’ve had little tastes
.
Alice also got me these Birthday cake M&Ms, which I have yet to eat because I want to save them.

Alice also got me these amazing Happy Birthday sunglasses which are super cool and I was wearing them all day on my birthday. Thank you Alice!
My friend Sophie got me this really lovely gift, which is one of those gifts that I probably wouldn’t buy for myself but makes a lovely gift and is super cool. It’s basically a book which gives you different titles to list movies to do with the title it gives you. It’s perfect for me because I love making lists and I love films. I haven’t started using it though because I’m a perfectionist when it comes to things like these and it has to be perfect. Thank you Sophie!
My friend Tara got me this amazing present which is a tote bag that says “I was a teenage popstar in Canada” which is a quote from How I Met Your Mother (which is also my favourite TV Show).
Tara also got me this Kate Middleton style guide as I love her and he clothes 🙂 Thank you Tara!
My parents and my brother got me this satchel as they know I’ve wanted one for a long time and I’m in love with this one and I’ve got so much use out of it. It’s also something that easily goes with everything  and you can use it for a day outing as it’s roomy but also is light so you can use it for just a short trip.
My parents and my brother got me this gorgeous jumpsuit from Urban Outfitters, which is super comfy and is easy to style with and I’m so in love with it. Thank you to my parents and my brother!

Our friends we stayed with on our first night in London got me this really nice Jack Wills pencil case which I’ll either use as a pencil case or a little make up bag to carry around in my main bag. They also got me a pen as well, so thank you!

Our friends we stayed with on the second night got me this flower crown from Beyond Retro.

They also got me this lip gloss from Soap and Glory, which is the Sexy Mother Plucker (this is supposed to make your lips look bigger and it does but it also makes your lips super tingly and it’s funny). Thank you to them both as well!

Now these are the things I bought in London which are also part of my birthday presents. I got this necklace from & other stories, it’s super pretty and I think it can be worn casually of formally.
I got these sunglasses from Beyond Retro which I think were £14 but I’m not sure, I really love these style of glasses and this colour but I’m really not sure they suit me.

I got this really pretty 30cm ruler from Liberty as I needed one and it was pretty.
I got these comfy trousers from Uniqlo and I love these because  you can just throw them on but they still look pretty and not scruffy like some tracksuit bottoms or others.
I got this shirt from New Look, which was so soft and I thought I could either wear it as a jacket, not fully buttoned up with a top underneath, fully buttoned up or fully buttoned up with a jumper over the top and the collar peeking out.
I got this book from Anthroplogie (which is one of my new favourite shops) as I love old classic books with new pretty covers.
I got these really nice trousers from Uniqlo which I’m in love with and I think they can be worn formally or casually. I’ve been looking for trousers like this for ages and I love them.
I got this shirt from Urban Outfitters because I’ve wanted a plaid shirt because you can wear it in many ways like tied around your waist, under a jumper, fully buttoned up, open over a top, half buttoned up over a top or under another jacket sticking out and probably many others.

I got this t-shirt from Uniqlo but it was actually from the mens section, but I have a big love for Monsters Inc and I mean a /big/ love.
I got this tied crop Hawaiian style shirt and the colours are so pretty and I’m in love with this.
I got this denim pinafore also from Beyond Retro because I’ve wanted one for so long and I loved the little pattern below the neck line, so far I’ve worn this with the Hawaiian shirt above, underneath.

Random Haul

Image

Today I went shopping with some friends in town so I thought I’d share with you the things I bought.

ImageImageI really wanted a dark reddish berry colour lipsticks for a while and I we went in to Superdrug and where on a bit of a hyper search. But this one is a perfect colour as most of the others were too dark for me. It’s from Kate Moss’ Rimmel London collection, in the colour 30. I bought it from Superdrug for £5.49 (I think).

Image

ImageI really didn’t need anymore scrunchies but when I saw these in Urban Outfitters I fell in love as they were tartan!!! They were in a set of two for £3.00 (but £6.00 on the website, I’m not quite sure why) and I’m probably going to wear them a lot as they’re super cute. You can buy them from here.

ImageI’ve wanted this for so long and my friend convinced me to buy it even though it’s a bit expensive. It’s an American Apparel tennis skirt, (to be honest it looks a bit like my school skirt but I’m in love). I was going to buy it in America as it was so much cheaper but I chickened out because it looked so similar to my school skirt (except my school skirt is blue.) It was £46.00 and comes in a selection of colours such as lilac and peach, you can buy it from here.

ImageI’ve been wanting a tattoo choker for a long time too but I was never sure if I could pull them off or if they were comfortable to wear. I tried it on and loved how it looked and felt, so I decided to buy it and it was £2.50 from a shop which is called Grin in Afflecks Palace, which you can find their contact number here. On my lips I’m also wearing the new Kate Moss one I bought.

Image

I also bought some bracelets in the same tattoo style as my choker, I really liked the colours. They’re actually supposed to be anklets but I’m going to wear them as both as they also work as bracelets. They were from Topshop for £5.00.

ImageI’ve also been wanting some Matte nail varnish for so long and Topshop’s make-up and nail products are always super nice. I fell in love with the colour and had to buy it and it was £6.00 and you can buy it from here.

I promise you my photos from America will be up soon but I’ve got more exams again so I’ll be revising therefore it might be a bit longer. I promise they’re not that spectacular either.

America Haul

Sorry for the non-existent blogging I have been in America and I’ve had exams and I’ve just been being lazy, sorry. As I recently came back from America, more specifically California on a ski trip with school I thought I’d share with you some of the things I’d bought.

Image

This is a kimono style jacket but not really it was from a shop in LA called Tillys which was a warehouse type shop. It’s a very lose jacket with short sleeves and is good for warmer weather. Image

Mona Lisa style socks because why not, actually I’ve been wanting these for ages and you can only buy them in America, however I honestly couldn’t tell you where they were from sorry.Image

I’ve wanted these style sunglasses for a while and I saw these and they were floral and I was in love so I had to buy them. They’re from Hot Topic and we’re $10.00, you can buy them from here.Image

These are the same as the Mona Lisa socks, but are of one of my favourite Van Gogh paintings, Starry Night.Image

These are the same as the Starry Night and Mona Lisa ones but The Scream instead.Image

This is a t-shirt with Dean Winchester’s mugshot on it from the tv show Supernatural, he’s one of my favourite tv characters so I had to buy it. This was also from Hot Topic and was $26.50, you can buy it from here.Image

This is a gorgeous spandex striped dress which has a low back and it just looks so nice on and it’s comfy but tight. It’s from American Apparel and was $42.00 (I think I got it for cheaper but according to the website it’s $42.00). You can buy it here.Imagei have been looking/wanting a cardigan like this for so long and I finally found one, it’s the perfect length (up to about my knees) and it’s light and soft. It’s from Aeropostale and it’s from Bethany Mota’s collection it’s £27.25 (I don’t know how many dollars because the website converts it into pounds for me). You can buy it here.

ImageThis looks like a floral dress but it’s actually dungarees and they’re so light and perfect for summer and super duper cute. These were also from Tillys.

Image

(This photo is from the American Apparel website) I got this bow because I wanted a bigger bow but I got it in blue so I could wear it to school, so far I’ve been wearing it all the time and I love it so much. It’s from American Apparel and is $14.00 and you can buy it from here.

Image

(This photo is also from the American Apparel website.) I wanted another scrunchie because I only have a plain black one and I saw this floral one and fell in love (I’m sort of obsessed with floral at the minute.) It’s from American Apparel and was $6.00 and you can buy it from here.

Stationery Haul

Sorry I haven’t been updating, I’ve got an English controlled assessment and every time I have exams my Mum for some reason all ways likes to treat me to little gifts, not that I’m objecting. This time she bought me some stationery and I thought I’d share because who doesn’t love stationery.

Image

This adorable little notebook was from paper chase and it was £5.00 but was reduced to £2.50. It’s the perfect size to just carry around with you for little notes in your bag or if you’re stuck on what to use your notebook for you can check this post on what to use notebooks for.

Image

This big notebook was from TK Maxx but I’m not sure of it’s price sorry, I needed a scrapbook notebook for this year and this is the perfect size and I love Marvel comics so.

Image

This ring binder matches the notebook above and it’s a small one so not one of the extended ones. I’m currently using it as my Chemistry folder as I don’t get many sheets in that lesson because it’s mainly in one book. This is also from TK Maxx but again I’m not sure of the price, sorry.

Image

Some rabbit stickers, because no matter what anyone says you’re never too old for stickers as they’re the best things in the world and I LOVE rabbits. These were £1.50 from Paperchase.

Image

Some more stickers but this time they’re really cool sequin ones which shake about above butterflies. They’re super cute and were £2.00 from Paperchase.

Image

A little wooden cute pencil case, I’m not really sure if I’ll use this as a pencil case and if not I’m not sure what I’ll use it for but it’s so cute and it reminds me of dominos because dominos always come in these type of boxes and I just love the way it opens. I’m not sure on the price for this but it was from Paperchase too.

Image

The final gift was a 2014 diary planner with birds on it because I love birds so much and after we got a bird my mum likes to buy bird things. This was from Paperchase too but I’m not sure of the price because I peeled all the prices off a lot of things before I wrote this blog post.

Comfy Primark Haul

My Mum went to Primark as I wanted some cheap slipper socks and she came back with a lot of other cosy things so I thought I’d share. (Yes my Mum still does occasionally shop for me but she has a very good taste so).

Image

I’ll start with my favourite purchase which was these ADORABLE gloves with little christmas trees on and I just thought they were so cute and awwwww.

ImageSo as I wanted slipper socks, I obviously bought slipper socks. I saw these in zoe sugg’s recent primark haul and fell in love and needed them right away. They’re fluffy in the inside and super super warm.

Image

These are the same socks as above, just in a navy blue with a different pattern because you always need more that one pair of slipper socks.

ImageImage

I then also received these very comfy pyjamas because they had birds on them and I LOVE BIRDS .

Image

This pyjama top is so warm but super thin at the same time and I just thought it was cute.

ImageImage

And here is another pair of socks which are called knee high cosy socks so they’re like slipper socks but for the day, I would wear these with wellies (which I wear a lot for my volunteering at the animal sanctuary or with some knee high boots over tights). I just really loved the little bird with it’s little tuft of hair on it’s head and also bought some navy blue ones.

Image

These are some more cosy socks but they aren’t knee high and I thought they’d be good for ankle boots instead. (These came in a pack of 2).

ImageImage

These are just some thin leggings which I though I’d get in bright colours cause I like them just to wear on lazy days, under a onesie or something and you can never go wrong with Primark leggings.

Image

I saw a bunny with a top hat and a bowtie and was like yes thank you and that’s the story of these. But these are just cropped pyjama bottoms.

London Haul

So I recently went to London and bought a few things which I thought I would share with you.

Image

Jumper – New Look £22.99

I bought this bat jumper because it was halloweeny and I don’t own a single halloweeny item of clothing other than costumes and I’ve always wanted to as halloween is my favourite holiday. As soon as I saw this I fell in love with it and it’s so warm and I’m planning to wear it on halloween, tomorrow as I can’t wear a costume as I’m going to a play but I still want to show my affection for the holiday so I thought this was perfect. You could also wear this other than halloween as bats are very cute animals which I adore and it’s a very warm jumper.

Image

Jumper – Topshop £40.00

I bought this jumper because it was so extremely soft and I absolutely adore rabbits and it’s super warm. It’s something that you could wear quite formally with a skirt or dress down with jeans. It is however in the petit section and I am not petit but I got the biggest size there was and the only problem is that when I stretch up you can see my tummy, but other than that I love it.

Image

Gloves – Fat Face £18.00

I’ve been wanting overflap mittens for ages as I always struggle to use my phone with gloves on and when I wear fingerless gloves my fingers get so cold. So these are the perfect answer as when I need to use my phone I just unflap the mitten part and then when my fingers get cold I can put them back on again. They’re a very pretty colour and I will be using these for school as that is when I mainly have that problem.

Image

Trousers- Uniqlo £14.90

Uniqlo is one of my favourite shops and they don’t have one wear I live so everytime I go to London I always have to go here. I fell in love with these trousers the minute I saw them. They’re so soft and I absolutely adore the pattern. They’re very stretchy and have an elasticated waist which is super. I thought they would go quite well with the earlier jumpers especially the rabbit one and also with the lipstick I am wearing in the previous photos I thought they would look quite nice with some red boots or a red jumper as well.

Image

Grapevines- £3.49 Hardys

I found this adorable little old fashioned sweet shop and whilst looking inside I found these beauties I can never find Grapevines where I live, only Redvines so I had to buy them. I know you can buy them online but I just got excited, okay they’re Grapevines! As you can see they’re already opened and I’ve been munching away but I’m trying to restrict myself however it’s rather hard.

Image

Pencilcase – Disney Store £4.50

We do have a disney store where I live but I saw one and got really excited and ran inside as I always do when I see the disney store. I saw this pencil case and because it’s probably one of the only things I could really get in the Monsters University section (because I love Monsters Inc/Monsters University) as I can’t really squeeze into the little Sulley dressing gowns or the Mike Wazowski costumes, which were so so so so so so cute. Also I really needed a new pencil case as my last one completely fell apart after about 1 month of usage. This pencil case was perfect it was very roomy and so fluffy and soft I just needed it.

Image

Bag- Disney Store £2.00

Also from the Disney store I bought this bag for life as I saw it at the checkout and was like well I need a bag for life to carry things around to and from school so why not get a Monsters University one? It’s perfect for me and I love it so very very much and I know I’ll use it lots when school starts again.
